Robert V said One of author's lessor known novels, and for good reason.. Orson Scott Card is a darn good author, this just isn't one of his better books. Like many of his novels he does a good job of developing a "young adult" as the primary character, in this case a young girl who is disposed heir to throne of kingdom. However, in this case the plot never really materializes and the main character spends the last half of the book aimlessly meandering.. "Darn good read" according to Liquid_Peppermint. If you're a fan of Card's, and you haven't read this yet, do it. It smacks a bit of some of his other books, but it's original enough to be quite enjoyable. It does get a bit darker than some of his other stories, so be ready for that. But I enjoyed reading it. Very satisfying.. escherspace said be careful what you are buying.
