It even helped me brush up on my own skills as well.I've had some younger students who have trouble reading drum music, let alone playing the proper drum at the proper time. I found that using this coupled with color coding right and left (ie orange highlighter is right, blue is left) it made it easier for the student to understand. Prior to using this book with that particular younger student, they could only play two parts at once. . " beats. It was a little hard to select 5 stars for this book because when you hover over the 5th star it says "I love it!" and sometimes I hate this book!!The exercises look simple - do not be deceived!! They are evil little buggers that will make you want to cry or yell or throw your sticks across the room. I can't tell you how many times I've stared at an exercise and thought "BUTIT'S SO SIMPLE!!!" as I try for the hundredth time to get through it twice in a row without making a mistake.The book is great for skill development - no question and. "Essential for Trap drummers" according to Jorge Barbarosa. Essential for the those wishing to improve on the drum set. Helps to break in to this contraption (which is were the identifier TRAPS originated).
